In 2022, there were three large events of \u00abInternational Association of friends of Crimea\u00bb: online conference on June 22; international conference \u00abCrimea in the current international environment\u00bb on November 9 in Simferopol and Forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb on November 15 in Moscow. Some \u00abfriends of Crimean occupation\u00bb attended other less important events whereas some \u00abfriends\u00bb limited their activity to their own countries.<\/strong> <\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Norway <\/strong><\/p>\n Hendrik Weber<\/strong>, Norwegian \u00abfriend of Crimean occupation\u00bb<\/a> and the head of Norwegian non-governmental organization \u00abFolkediplomati Norge\u00bb, continues to cooperate with Moscow authorities. Weber received an Order of Friendship from A.V.Grushko, the Deputy Minister\u00a0 of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on June 1, 2022. Putin\u2019s decree about this award was signed earlier \u2013 on September 10, 2021.<\/p>\n Weber met<\/a> with Sergiy Aksyonov, the occupation \u00abHead of Crimea\u00bb, on June 6, 2022 in Simferopol (it means that Weber violated temporarily procedure to enter temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He complained to Russian \u00abHead of Crimea\u00bb that he was persecuted for his pro-Russian position in Europe: \u00abWe are now in very difficult situation. First of all, there is Covid pandemics. Second, there is special military operation. It is very difficult to talk about situation in Crimea abroad. I was excluded from my own political party because I support Crimea. My wife lost her job\u00bb.<\/p>\n That is to say, cooperation of Weber\u2019s Trotskyist political party \u00abRed\u00bb with Putin\u2019s regime has been acceptable before 24.02.2022. After the Russian full scale invasion into Ukraine, such cooperation became \u00abtoo toxic\u00bb. Weber did not mention that the website of his organization \u00abFolkediplomati Norge\u00bb does not work anymore.<\/p>\n In November 2022, Weber attended Forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb and made a speech at Forum\u2019s concluding press conference. He explained the name of the Forum in the following way: the world changed, and Russia faced aggressive attitude in Europe. That is why \u00abpeople\u2019s diplomacy\u00bb for Crimea should cover all the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n Armenia <\/strong><\/p>\n Aik Babukhanian<\/strong><\/a>, right conservative and media tycoon, conducted \u00abDays of Crimea in Armenia\u00bb in Yerevan. Event was attended by Muradov. He met with activists of movement \u00abStrong Armenia with Russia \u2013 for the new Union\u00bb. Babukhanian is the member of executive committee of the movement. The meeting was also attended by Armen Martoyan (Samvel), former commander of the company of so-called \u00abself-defence of Crimea\u00bb and current member of the \u00abState Council of Crimea\u00bb. We know nothing about his participation In Moscow forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb. Perhaps, he sent his daughter Zaruia who works as a propagandist in his pro-Russian newspapers.<\/p>\n Bulgaria <\/strong><\/p>\n Bulgarian rusophile Vanya Dobreva<\/strong><\/a> participated online in the Kerch conference \u00abInternational cooperation of the Republic of Crimea in sphere of culture\u00bb on June 11, 2022. Her surname is mentioned<\/a> among participants of Moscow forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb and Simferopol conference \u00abCrimea in the current international environment\u00bb. However, she is absent at the collective photo of participants of the Simferopol conference.<\/p>\n Dobreva complained about expansion of the USA and the Soros Foundation, about their attempts to strip other countries of their sovereignty and to de-industrialize them. She justified Russian aggression against Ukraine in her article in Bulgarian newspaper \u00ab\u0415\u043f\u0438\u0446\u0435\u043d\u0442\u0435\u0440<\/a>\u00bb on February 27, 2022.<\/p>\n \u041a. Photo: rusofili.bg<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n Another Bulgarian Russophile Nikolai Malinov<\/strong> visited Moscow two times \u2013 in September 2022<\/a> and January 2023<\/a>. \u00a0He met with Muradov and Yevgenii Primakov, the Head of the Russian Federal Agency for Compatriots Living Abroad. He also met with his old friend and employer Konstantin Malofeev, Russian oligarch, close to the Russian intelligence, who participated in the occupation of Ukrainian Donbas. Malinov was accused by Bulgarian prosecutors of spying for the Russian Federation and transferring sensitive information to organizations controlled by Malofeev.<\/p>\n The USA imposed sanctions<\/a> on Malinov and Bulgarian National movement of Russophiles and political party \u00abRussophiles for the Renaissance of Motherland\u00bb for \u00abcorruption actions, illegal personal enrichment, undermining democratic institutions of the country and deepening country\u2019s dependency upon Russian energy sources\u00bb.<\/p>\n Sanctions did not disturb Malinov and he participated<\/a> in the \u00abTV Bridge\u00abCrimea and Russia \u2013 together forever!\u00bb on March 16, 2023.<\/p>\n France<\/strong><\/p>\n In 2022, representatives of France have not been mentioned among participants of \u00abCrimean events\u00bb under Muradov\u2019s management. Jean-Pierre Thomas<\/strong><\/a>, co-initiator of \u00abAssociation of friends of Crimea\u00bb, former French corrupted politician and renowned lobbyist of Russian economic interests in France (nicknamed as \u00abMonsieur Russe\u00bb), has kept silence in media.<\/p>\n Nicolas Bay. His colleague Thierry Mariani<\/strong>, who also visited occupied Crimea, has continued<\/a> to support Russia and accused the EU of igniting the war.<\/p>\n Serbia <\/strong><\/p>\n The Serbian Radical Party, headed by \u00abfriends of Crimean occupation\u00bb military criminal Vojislav \u0160e\u0161elj<\/strong><\/a> and his son Aleksandar,<\/strong> lost 2022 elections to the Serbian parliament. But Serbs have not been mentioned in reports about Simferopol conference \u00abCrimea in the current international environment\u00bb and Moscow forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb held in November 2022.<\/p>\n Aleksandar has kept servicing Kremlin in 2022. He said<\/a> that Russian troops in Ukraine rescue people form genocide, plotted by \u00abUkrainian Nazi\u00bb along Croatian example (justification of the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n Japan <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00abFriend of Crimean occupation\u00bb and leader of extreme right political party \u00abIssuikai\u00bb Mitsukhiro Kimura<\/strong><\/a> has been involved into Russian propagandist events in 2022. He participated in the round table<\/a> on nuclear disarmament and arms control, conducted by the Russian Embassy in Japan in Hiroshima. We do not know whether Kimura participated in Moscow and Simferopol conferences in June 2022. We do not see him on collective photo of the participants of Simferopol conference.\u00a0<\/p>\n Greece <\/strong><\/p>\n Representatives of Greece participated in June online conference of \u00abAssociation of friends of Crimea\u00bb and Moscow forum \u00abFriends of Crimea \u2013 friends of Russia\u00bb, in accordance with Russian reports. Their names are unknown. Previous \u00abfriend of Crimean occupation\u00bb and Greek leftist politician Kostas Isikos<\/a> lost his influence on the Greek politics.<\/p>\n Kyriakos Velopoulos. In April 2022, its representative Kyriakos Velopoulos<\/strong> heavily criticized<\/a> Greek authorities for allowing video speech of President Zelensky in the Greek parliament. He was outraged by participation of two Mariupol Greeks from \u00abAzov\u00bb regiment in \u00abthe video bridge\u00bb. Their presentation contradicted Russian propagandist narratives about \u00abpro-Russian Greek population of Ukraine suffering from Ukrainian Nazism\u00bb.<\/p>\n Turkey<\/strong><\/p>\n In December 2022, head of pro-Russian union of Crimean Tatars of Turkey and \u00abfriend of Crimean occupation\u00bb Unver Sel<\/strong> attended<\/a> Moscow conference \u00abCultural connections of Crimean Tatar organizations of the Republic of Crimea with compatriots abroad\u00bb. Before the Russian full scale invasion, Russians conducted these conferences in Crimea. He often publicly speaks with messages<\/a> that Ukrainians will not be able to liberate Crimea with military force and that Crimean peninsula should be recognized as Russian territory.<\/p>\n Univer Sel and Vasfi Sel. Dogu Perinchek<\/strong><\/a>, leader of pro-Russian party \u00abVatan\u00bb and supporter of Eurasian ideology, continues to require<\/a> from the Turkish authorities the recognition of \u00abRussian Crimea\u00bb.<\/p>\n Belgium <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00abFriends of Crimean occupation\u00bb from Belgium Frank Kreyelman<\/strong><\/a> and Yan Penris<\/strong><\/a> were subjected to Ukrainian sanctions on October 10, 2022. However, they have not been active in 2022 and 2023. They are not mentioned in Muradov\u2019s reports.<\/p>\n China <\/strong><\/p>\n Chinese \u00abfriend of Crimean occupation<\/a>\u00bb Ge Chihli<\/strong> has continued his road shows around Russian cities. He talked<\/a> about \u00abgood Russia and special military operation\u00bb in Ulyanovsk whereas in Grozny he praised<\/a> the genius of Ramzan Kadyrov, the President of Chechnya.<\/p>\n Ge Chihli. It is very likely that it has been Ge Chihli.<\/p>\n Slovakia <\/strong><\/p>\n Former Soviet dissident and ex-Prime Minister of Slovakia J\u00e1n \u010carnogursk\u00fd<\/strong><\/a> has played his usual role of \u00abwedding general\u00bb. Sitting near Muradov at pro-Russian events, he has pronounced traditional phrases: \u00abToday our Association has its representatives in more than 40 countries. We are expanding, in accordance with possibilities in each country.
