German Ambassador Anka Feldhusen: Crimea Platform is a good idea for more countries to support Ukraine on Crimea and join sanctions

Center for Journalist Investigations continues working on its special project «How Crimean Sanctions Work» by investigating the impact and effectiveness of the sanctions imposed by the US, EU, and G-7 countries in response to the Russian military aggression against Ukraine and its attempted annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Today is a special time because of the approaching inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform - an international format initiated by Ukraine to coordinate partner efforts aimed at liberating Crimea from the occupation and restoring the international law violated by the Russian Federation. Among practical tasks set by the Ukrainian side are infusing meaning and even codification of the non-recognition policy and synchronization and strengthening of sanctions.

Read about prospects of the Crimea Platform as seen by the Federal Government of Germany, the way the EU sanctions policy is implemented and whether Deutsche Marine vessels will soon participate in the SeaBreeze exercises by the Crimean shores in the interview with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Ms. Anka Feldhusen given to Valentyna Samar, editor-in-chief of the Center for Journalist Investigations and Julia Kazdobina, Head of the Ukrainian Foundation for Security Studies.
