Russian occupants seized workshops of Khersonsk City Printing Company and announced that they were going to transfer this private enterprise under state control and produce their propaganda materials.

It is reported by the Center for Journalist Investigations, referring to Russian propaganda telegram channels.

According to occupants’ stories, the private city printing house will resume its work in the near future, and the Russian «Military and Civil Administration of Kherson Oblast” has «plans for its development».

The owners [of the printing house] are not coming back anytime soon, are they? So the printing house, I think, will come under the control of the state and for the time being it will be run by the state. We will start printing the products that the people of Kherson and the city need, as Serhiy Moroz, the «press secretary» of the so-called «administration» of Kherson oblast, said.

Representatives of the occupation authorities of the Kherson oblast announced that they were going to seize and launch other enterprises of the region. PJSC Kherson City Printing House is owned by Natalia and Mykhailo Novitskyi. The latter is the publisher of the well known newspaper «Hryvna» in the Kherson oblast.

Most of the regional newspapers were printed in the same printing house. All of them stopped working on the very first day of the Russian invasion into Kherson oblast. As CJI informs, occupants are going to put Kherson propagandist Oleh Hrushka in charge of private printing house. He administers the «Naddnepriyanka» website, which began publishing pro-Russian materials on February 24.

Material is prepared by non-profit «Information press center» within IWPR project under the support of the European Union and the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
